Visiting the Henry Ford Museum

On Saturday, December 14th, I was able to experience two firsts... visiting the Henry Ford Museum and driving in my first mini snow storm! I must say that driving in the snow wasn't as bad as I expected. In the morning, I sarcastically asked my roommates, "Do people even drive in the snow?!" I was texting my fellow queens who gave me pointers for my first drive. The best advice I received was to avoid using my brakes and to drive slowly. For someone who grew up in California, that advice was much needed. My new car handled the snow beautifully! And despite not seeing the lanes on the freeway, I successfully made it to Dearborn for a day of fun with my MAG family!

My poor baby covered in snow!

Christmas is my favorite holiday so I surprised everyone with presents! I gave my Miss queens matching Juicy Couture crown necklaces! I wear my necklace to all of my events and I hope they do the same!

As our director says, there are days when we give back to the community and there are days when we just have fun. Today was a chance for us to explore the Henry Ford Museum (one of our pageant sponsors)! As typical girls, we ran around the museum exploring exhibits and of course, taking pictures.

Hang on!

Sat in Rosa Park's seat on the bus!

Why is Carlee driving?! ;)

We also pigged out at Lamy's diner! And I had Faygo for the first time (yet another first)! I originally wanted a Coke, but I hear Faygo is something I have to get as a Michigander.

We should be Faygo sponsors :)

The museum was beautifully decorated for the holidays! And we saw Santa again! I am now 22 and yet whenever I see Santa, I act like I am 5! I was definitely the most excited one to see him! Here's to hoping I'm on the nice list ;)

Happy Holidays!

SANTA!

I love the Michigan Amazing Girl pageant because along with my title, I gained four beautiful new sisters! With each event, we become more and more like family. I had a blast with my fellow queens and I am going to miss them so much while I'm at home for the holidays!

We go together like ketchup and mustard! ;)

Wigs 4 Kids Holiday Party

I was all smiles today at the Wigs 4 Kids Holiday Party! One of the reasons why I loved being a cheerleader in college was interacting with the young fans that I met on game days. Young girls who dreamed of being a cheerleader... and today, I was able to meet young girls who dreamed of being a princess. And with the shiny crown on my head, I was their version of a princess. Seeing their faces light up when they saw my crown was a moment to be remembered. There is nothing like a hug and smile from an adorable kid to warm your heart on a snowy day in Michigan.

My favorite little princess <3

Her crowning moment!

This was my first event with my beautiful sister queens! Having them by my side made the event so much more memorable. I joined the Michigan Amazing Girl pageant so I can have sisters in Michigan and today was definitely a sign of all the fun times to come!

Here to support Wigs 4 Kids!

Adopted into their beautiful family!

We started the event by greeting guests at the door, but we somehow ended up rocking the dance floor! I wish it was the 20s where everyone did the Charleston... but we settled for a good old-fashioned Soul Train line.

Rocking the Dance Floor

And did I mention, we got to meet Santa!

#happiness

I am blessed to be a part of the Michigan Amazing Girl family! I can't thank Angela and Teresa enough for all that they do for us! I can't wait for all the events and opportunities that I will have throughout my reign!
